General purpose credit card delinquency rose six basis points in April from the prior month to 5.49%. One-year ago 30+ day delinquency was 4.72%, according to CardData ([www.carddata.com]). The latest figures show that 30+ day delinquency rose to 2.48% in April, compared to 2.46% in March and 2.02% for April 2007. Sixty-day delinquency rose to 1.29% for April 2008, compared to 1.26% in March and 1.07% for the year ago period. Delinquency past 90 days inched up from 0.76% in March to 0.79% in April.
