Cabela’s/WFB VISA Card Loans Jump 23%

The World’s Foremost Bank, a subsidiary of Cabela’s, the “World’s Foremost Outfitter,” reported that its average VISA credit card loans increased 23% in the fourth quarter compared to one-year ago and up 6.5% sequentially. With an estimated 1.4 million cardholders for its “Club VISA,” WFB posted managed card loans of $1.484 billion for 4Q/06. For the fourth quarter, the nation’s 23rd largest issuer, also reported interest income of $40.7 million, interchange income of $13.1 million and other credit card fee income of $6.3 million. Over the past year Cabela’s has introduced a loyalty card and a debit card with rewards. In June, U.S. Bank and Cabela’s introduced the “Cabela’s VISA Check Card,” offering reward points for signature purchases. The “Club VISA” offers 2% back on all Cabela purchases and 1% on other purchases. The U.S. bank-issued “VISA Check Card” offers one point for every $2 spent at Cabela’s stores and one point for every $3 spent at other merchant locations. ACS To Supply Ticketing System For Jerusalem Tramway

Vital to the 30-year Jerusalem-Tramway contract is a reliable fare
collection system. A significant shareholder in the contract is Alstom
and has appointed ACS to supply the new fare collection system. The
contract stipulates that ACS will build, operate & transfer (BOT)
control of the tramway system over a period of 30 years. In doing so,
ACS will supply a complete ticketing system for the Jerusalem tramway.
This project is the third large-scale project crowned with a powerful

YeePay Partners with China Unicom for Mobile Top-up Service

YeePay Payment Provider & China Unicom have partnered to promote mobile
top-up service in Beijing, China. This partnership will support two
additional banks and is launching online service for mobile top-up. The
service allows users to assign his or her mobile account with a bank
card enabling them to pay for their mobile bills using bank cards

Solid Innovation mobile software & Payment Processing have
introduced a credit card settlement known as “SI”. “Si Credit Card
Settlement” is designed for Si Route Accounting and Si Mobile Sales. The
system caters to distributors who have customers that pay by credit card
and want to receive payment at remote customer sites. Thus, the merchant
does not have to bill them and have outstanding accounts receivable. In
2005, Solid Innovation handled an estimated 800,000 transactions. Their

EURONET 4Q/06

Euronet Worldwide’s reported that its profits for the fourth quarter
more than doubled compared to the year-ago quarter. The Company posted
fourth quarter revenues of $166.8 million, an 16% increase over 4Q/05.
Net income soared to $15.4 million, compared to $7.2 million for the
fourth quarter 2005. “EFT Processing” posted revenues of $35.3 million,
compared to $29.3 million for 4Q/05. Transactions processed were 128.1
million, compared to 103.1 million transactions in the same period last
year. The EFT Segment completed the quarter with 8,885 ATMs owned or
operated. “Prepaid Processing” reported revenues of $124.6 million,
compared to $111.7 million for the fourth quarter of last year.
Transactions processed were 132.1 million, compared to 100.0 million
transactions in the fourth quarter 2005. The “Software Solutions”
segment produced revenues of $6.9 million for the quarter. Combining all
segments, transactions processed in the fourth quarter 2006 were 260.2
million compared to 203.1 million processed in the fourth quarter of

Priceless PayPass Spot to Debut Sunday

MasterCard is debuting a new “Priceless” commercial this weekend on the “Academy Awards.” The 60-second spot entitled, “Ella Phant” will promote the “PayPass” contactless payment technology. The new commercial was directed by Jim Sheridan. He also directed MasterCard spots entitled “Weekend House” and “Mother-Daughter. To support the new spot MasterCard is rolling-out a series of vignettes tomorrow featuring celebrities tapping to make purchases using “PayPass” cards. The vignettes will be available on priceless.com. Celebrities include movie critic Gene Shalit, comedian David Cross and football player Vinny Testaverde. Creative for MasterCard’s Priceless campaign is handled by McCann Erickson/New York. To date, about 13 million “PayPass” cards have been issued.
