Everlink Payment Services announced Cambrian Credit Union – Manitoba’s 3rd largest credit union (by assets) and the 9th largest in Canada (by assets) – has made the move to Everlink’s Central Card Issuance Solution (CCI) effective June 5th, 2013. With the aide of Everlink’s EMV expertise and solutions, Cambrian will be issuing dual interface debit cards over the next 5 years with the launch of the new card product scheduled for the end of 2013. The Everlink CCI solution enables financial institutions to reliably and cost-effectively produce EMV Chip debit cards from a secure central facility, offering distribution options to send the cards directly to the member/customer or to the branch.

Three leading payment technology companies have combined specialties to produce an award-winning payment solution. HyperWallet global payment solutions made available 5 new payment destinations and services. MasterCard opens industry partner training center

MasterCard announced the launch of a brand new training facility in Kenya to empower the financial services ecosystem with knowledge on various aspects of cashless payments in order to boost acceptance readiness in the region. The training centre, located at MasterCard’s East Africa offices in Eldama Park, off Peponi Road, will be used for training purposes for merchants, retailers and other partners. The facility, which can seat up to 40 people at a time, will be used to host project meetings to enhance awareness of global payments industry best practice in issuance of cards, retail payments and technical aspects of cashless transactions. In addition, the training centre will facilitate workshops to address issues that are important to stakeholders in the payments industry including: the latest MasterCard payment technologies, EMV migration, data security standards, customer service trends and retailer best practices.

Western Union Partners IndusInd Bank

Western Union Business Solutions partnered IndusInd Bank Limited to bring its technology platform for making global business and foreign exchange payments to the doorsteps of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). IndusInd Bank has also signed up two of Western Union’s largest agents, Weizmann Forex Ltd and Paul Merchants Ltd, as referral agents to help market the service in India. The service will launch at select Paul Merchants Ltd. and Weizmann Forex Ltd. Western Union locations in 22 cities across the country and aims to provide doorstep service to clients. Customers will be able to request a visit from a trained representative of Paul Merchants Limited or Weizmann Forex, allowing them to book a cross-border transaction from their home or office. Vasco Launches Credit Card Authentication Device

VASCO Data Security International software security announced a new addition to its DIGIPASS e-signature portfolio with DIGIPASS 280. Offering strong authentication in a convenient slim design, DIGIPASS 280 provides a comprehensive transaction data signing and authentication solution that banks and other organizations can use to effectively combat Internet fraud by replacing static or paper-based password systems with dynamic one-time passwords (OTPs) and e-signatures that are calculated with DIGIPASS algorithms. DIGIPASS 280 supports up to four different native time-based applications: two OTP and two e-signature applications. The OTP-applications generate strong dynamic passwords with a limited validity. With a push on the button, DIGIPASS 280 displays an OTP each time a user wants to remotely log on to an application, website or network. The two applications each use their own cryptographic secret to calculate the OTPs which greatly enhances security.
