Ingenico payment solutions partnered BNP Paribas Fortis to offer the combination of a mobile telephone with a dedicated application and a secured pocket format card reader with Bluetooth connection. The retailer enters the amount to be paid via the smartphone application and then the customer uses the card reader keyboard to enter his/her code in total security. BNP Paribas Fortis finalised a partnership with Ingenico which will provide a fully operated solution from the secured card reader to the processing of the transaction. To implement its smartphone payment solution, BNP Paribas Fortis will also rely on the capacities of easycash Belgium and ROAM, Ingenico subsidiaries. Many applications have already been rolled out by BNP Paribas Fortis to enable customers to consult their accounts and carry out banking operations on their Smartphone.

Ingenico payment solutions acquired the payment solutions activity of PT Integra Pratama (PT Integra) POS, subject to authority approval. This acquisition will boost Ingenico’s presence in a particularly dynamic market where the Group has a direct local presence with Bank Mandiri and has been addressing all financial institutions indirectly through PT Integra. Over the last ten years, PT Integra has an installed base of close to 500.000 POS terminals. The Jack Henry & Associates Jack Henry Banking division announced it has moved all operations from its Lyndhurst, NJ item processing (IP) center to one of the company’s alternate processing facilities in Oklahoma City, OK. North American Bancard to Partner with PCI SSC

North American Bancard has joined the PCI Security Standards Council as a new Participating Organization. North American Bancard (NAB) will work with the Council to achieve and improve payment data security worldwide through the ongoing development of the PCI Security Standards, including the PCI DSS, PIN Transaction Security (PTS) requirements and the PA-DSS. With this, NAB adds its voice to the standards setting process and will receive previews of drafts of standards and supporting materials in order to provide feedback to shape their final versions, as well as engage a growing community of more than 600 organizations united to improve payment security.
