Mountain America FCU Adopts Bluepoint Solution

Bluepoint Solutions announced that Mountain America Credit Union (MACU) has processed more than 100,000 mobile transactions on its “QwikDeposit ToGo” mobile RDC application in 2011. This equates to nearly $36.5 million in deposits. MACU has $3.2 billion in assets and serves more than 355,000 members through 69 locations in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico.

TransCentra Enhances Payments Processing with RDC

TransCentra billing and payment software and services announced its RDC product is now available via a software-as-a-service delivery model to integrate with Mobile Deposit and eCapture scanning solutions. This can eliminate lengthy implementation and software maintenance processes, therefore decreasing up-front and overall costs. RDC customers can scan and capture document images more quickly with confidence that the process for handling payments is secure. A unique aspect of the eCapture solution is its co-mingled scanning functionality, which allows for multiple document types (such as checks, customer forms, check skirts and remittance documents) to be scanned together in one batch versus the traditional practice of separating each batch type prior to scanning.

MoneyGram & Walmart Renew Remittance Agreements

MoneyGram money transfer company and Walmart forged a three-year agreement providing MoneyGram money transfers, bill payment and money orders at all Walmart stores in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. CFC Technology will add Bluepoint’s QwikDeposit ToGo and QwikDeposit Home remote deposit capture solutions to its current product portfolio. Gemalto digital security was implemented by PrivatBank to provide Optelio contactless stickers for Ukraine’s first commercial mobile payment deployment. Gemalto’s “Optelio” contactless sticker is a microprocessor-based secure personal device that enables PrivatBank to provide its existing customers with an additional payment option on their favorite device: their mobile phone. It has been designed to work on any handset model, combining diminutive size with the highest communication performance at point-of-sale terminals that are contactless ready. PrivatBank customers simply attach the sticker to their mobile phone in order to securely use the contactless feature for small amount purchases.

Barclaycard Introduces 2 New Reward Cards

Barclaycard launched its Barclaycard “Cashback” and Barclaycard “Freedom Rewards” cards. The “Cashback” card gives customers four times more cashback on their five biggest monthly purchases, with no tiers or thresholds. Customers earn 2% on their five biggest monthly purchases and 0.5% on everything else. When customers take the card out they receive a welcome bonus, giving them the opportunity to earn 6% cashback on their five biggest purchases each month for the first three months. The Barclaycard “Freedom Rewards” card lets customers collect points on everything they buy on the card. They can redeem points at around 70 reward partners including retail giants, online favourites, restaurants and fun family days out.
