CreditCall payment gateway made available its mobile Chip and PIN card acceptance solution for smartphones and tablets. CreditCall has been developing its CardEase Mobile payment acceptance application for the past two years, working closely with Visa, a number of global acquirers and mobile phone operators to bring to market a Chip and PIN capable solution. CardEase Mobile is the first payment acceptance solution for smartphones and tablets, able to process Chip and PIN and magnetic stripe card payments in the UK. It is EMV certified, encrypts cardholder information end-to-end, ensuring it cannot be compromised during transaction and accepts all major UK credit and debit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and American Express. It is currently being made available to businesses through partners such as Elavon and Sage Pay.

FIS to Deploy Over 5,500 ATMs in Fledgling Market

FIS announced new agreements to deploy and manage more than 5,500 ATMs in India as part of a pan-India ATM rollout by a consortium of public-sector banks over the next two years. FIS will provide end-to-end outsourcing services including supply, setup and ongoing ATM operation. Currently driving more than 3,500 ATMs across India and operating two of India’s four interbank ATM switching networks, the new deployment will significantly expand FIS’ business in the country, which is a key market in FIS’ international growth strategy.

Wells Fargo Waives Remittance Transfer Fees

Wells Fargo & Company is waiving remittance transfer fees for ExpressSend transfers for customers sending money using the ExpressSend service to the Philippines impacted by the floods, effective August 15th-30th. The Bank is also donating $50,000 to the American Red Cross for relief efforts. ExpressSend customers can send up to $3,000 a day for $4 if originated from a Preferred, Complete Advantage, or Premium Membership Checking.

Finland’s S Group Selects VeriFone Point Group

VeriFone Systems Point Group won its largest to date payments-as-a-service (PaaS) contract, with an agreement to supply Finland’s S Group a complete range of payments services in its 1,600 locations. The S Group is a renowned Finnish cooperative retail company group comprised by the SOK Corporation with its subsidiaries and 21 regional and 8 local cooperatives. With more than 2 million members and 40,000 employees, S Group spans market segments for grocery and consumer goods, petro service station and fuel, travel industry and hospitality business, automotive and accessories trade and the agricultural trade. VeriFone will provide software, estate management, maintenance, integration, security and gateway services. Point will provide S Group with a range of stand-alone, portable and unattended payment systems in food market checkout lanes, restaurants, retail gasoline outlets and pumps, and other locations.

IndusInd Bank Deploys ElectraCard Services on New Program

IndusInd Bank launched its “Indus Forex” foreign currency pre-paid travel card. Targeting the travel segment, the “Indus Forex” card is available in US Dollar, Euro, Sterling Pound, Singapore Dollar, Australian Dollar and Saudi Riyal and can be used to withdraw cash from ATMs as well as to pay at Merchant Outlets. The smart option of a paired card kit equips consumers with an extra back-up card, in case primary card is damaged/ lost / stolen. IndusInd Bank has partnered with ElectraCard Services (ECS), which will provide technology and processing services for Forex card program solution.
