TCBIL Inks ATM Deal Making it Largest in the Nation

Tata Communications Banking InfraSolutions, specialising in payment solutions for the banking and financial services sector secured a contract to deploy and manage nearly 14,000 ATMs for all public sector banks across Tamil Nadu & Puducherry, West Bengal & Andaman & Nicobar and Andhra Pradesh. This brings its total managed ATMs under contract to almost 27,000 nationwide. For the bank, TCBIL will deploy and manage nearly 14,000 ATMs over a span of two years for all 21 public sector banks. Around 50% of the total rollout would be in semi urban and rural locations and the remaining 50% would be deployed in metro and urban markets.

Chase Ink Cardholders Get a Boost in Rewards

Ink from Chase Card Services launched its enhanced rewards program for the Ink Plus credit card, allowing cardholders to accumulate customized points quicker for their small business, featuring five points per dollar spent at office supply stores and on cellular phone, landline, Internet and cable TV services; two points per dollar spent at gas stations and hotels, and one point on all other spending. The “Ink Plus” program lets cardholders earn five points per dollar on the first $50,000 in annual spend at office supply stores and on cellular phone, landline, Internet and cable TV services and two points per dollar on the first $50,000 in annual spend at gas stations and on hotel accommodations when purchased directly with the hotel. Also, Ink cardholders can earn one point per dollar on all other card purchases, with no limits. Given points don’t expire, they enjoy a 1:1 points transfer to leading airline and hotel loyalty programs and 20% off airfare, hotels, car rentals and cruises when they redeem for travel through the ‘Ultimate Rewards’ rewards program.

Fiserv financial services technology solutions announced TD Bank will implement its “CheckFree RXP” electronic bill payment. The “CheckFree RXP” will provide TD Bank customers more control over their bill payment tasks and will enable them to receive e-bills from more than 400 national and local companies directly within their online banking service. It allows TD Bank customers access to Fiserv electronic billing and payment for next business day delivery of most payments and bill payment for tens of millions of consumers and is offered by 3,800 financial institutions, a number that increases each month.

Smart Card Alliance Deploys US EMV Migration Forum

The Smart Card Alliance announced the formation of the EMV Migration Forum, an independent cross-industry organization. This will support the alignment of the EMV implementation steps required for global payment networks, regional payment networks, issuers, processors, merchants, and consumers to successfully move from magnetic stripe technology to secure EMV contact and contactless technology in the United States. The EMV Migration Forum will have a separate membership and be open to representatives from financial card issuers, payments processors, merchants, acquirers, payment networks, industry suppliers and other constituent groups including payments industry associations to ensure that all stakeholders ins intakeholders in the payment industry are represented.
