Foregenix Point-to-Point Encryption

NovoPayment Launches Reloadable Prepaid Card Program

NovoPayment prepaid card service provider launched the general purpose reloadable (GPR) program with the “LATODO” MasterCard for the underbanked. NovoPayment’s Platform as a Service (Paas) capabilities fulfill LATODOs technical and financial processes and requirements from card sales to clearing transactions to compliance and customer service. This is the second GPR program NovoPayment has launched in the region, having already introduced the Plata card program in Venezuela in 2005.

Shift4 EMV Certified From Global Payments

Shift4 Corporation independent payment gateway completed its EMV certification process to Global Payments Canada. POS certified with Shift4 after June 2009 are now able to process EMV transactions just by adding a supported EMV device. Retailers whose systems were certified prior to June 2009 will need to have just a few minor modifications made to their code in order to be EMV-compliant. Shift4’s certification to Global Payments Canada currently covers chip-and-PIN transaction processing on the Ingenico iPP320 device; additional devices may be added in the future. The interface is available to all merchant types, supports all major card brands (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Interac, and JCB), and has received approval from the respective card associations.

First Data to invest $18 million in German operations

First Data electronic commerce and payment processing and owner of First Data Deutschland and TeleCash GmbH & Co. KG, has signalled its commitment to the German market by securing long-term leases at its Bad Vilbel and Nuremberg facilities and announcing plans for several major IT infrastructure investments. This in conjunction with finalizing lease negotiations on its premises, securing presence in the building until at least 2017 to remain the regional hub. First Data also confirmed the extension of its lease, to at least end 2017, at its premises in Nuremberg, from which mainly operational services are being provided.
