MasterCard Names President, Access Prepaid Worldwide, and Group Executive, IPS

Steve Grigg has been appointed president of MasterCard’s Access Prepaid Worldwide subsidiary and Cathy McCaul has been named group executive of MasterCard Integrated Processing Solutions (IPS). Grigg has been named President of Access Prepaid Worldwide after serving as chief information officer at Travelex, from which MasterCard its acquired prepaid card program management business in 2011- now Access Prepaid Worldwide. Before this he was COO of Vocalink. McCaul has been appointed group executive responsible for leading MasterCard’s IPS business. McCaul joined MasterCard Worldwide in March 2008 and led the global Cardholder Solutions business. In July 2010, she was named group executive, Global Products & Solutions, U.S. Markets.

Citi Board Nominates New Board Members

Citi’s Board of Directors has nominated Franz B. Humer and Joan E. Spero as new independent director candidates to stand for election at Citi’s annual meeting of stockholders on April 17, 2012. Dr. Humer is Chairman of Roche Holding Ltd, and Ms. Spero is a Senior Research Scholar at Columbia University School of International Public Affairs. Humer served as Chief Executive Officer of the Roche Group from 1998 until 2008. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Pharmaceuticals for F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. Dr. Humer is Chairman of Diageo plc. Dr. Humer is the chairman of Friends of Phelophepa Foundation, the chairman of INSEAD and chairman of the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children. Spero is a Senior Research Scholar at Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs. From 1997 to 2008, she was the President of the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. Prior to that, she was the Under Secretary of State for Economics, Business and Agricultural Affairs during the Clinton Administration and had previously served in the Carter Administration as Ambassador to the United Nations for Economic and Social Affairs.

Wells Fargo Expands Remittance Network

Wells Fargo & Company expanded its ExpressSend remittance network in partnership with Banco Azteca financial services company of Grupo Elektra. This allows Wells Fargo to extend its consumer remittance payout network distribution to Banco Azteca and Elektra’s 2,461 locations in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and Peru. Wells Fargo ExpressSend customers now have more than 40,200 remittance payout locations to send money to 15 countries in Latin America and Asia.
